Our Health Care Compliance and Privacy Officer (Compliance Officer) leads the development, implementation, and oversight of our Compliance Program. This officer, along with our team of corporate and local compliance leaders, helps reinforce our organization’s commitment to ethical behavior as outlined in our Code of Conduct, while promoting a shared understanding of compliance responsibilities throughout the enterprise.
Our Compliance Program is designed to prevent and detect issues as well as address those reported by our associates and business partners. When concerns arise, we initiate prompt investigations and work toward timely, appropriate resolutions.
We educate and train all TridentCare Associates on our standards, policies and procedures. The Compliance Program supports leaders at every level in building an organizational culture where ethics and integrity guide our day-to-day operations.

No Surprises Act
Effective January 1, 2022, the No Surprises Act established new protections and disclosure requirements against surprise medical billing. The new law requires healthcare organizations to provide Good Faith Estimates to uninsured or self-paying patients for services offered when scheduling care or when the patient requests an estimate.

Your Right to Access:
Under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), you have the right to review and obtain copies of your medical records.
To Request Medical Records:
- Patients: Complete the Patient Authorization Form.
- Physician Offices: Complete the Physician Verification for Medical Records Request.
- Third-Party Requestors: Submit your request with a completed Patient Authorization Form.
