Laboratory / Phlebotomy

TridentCare operates laboratories that are strategically located across the US to ensure we meet the needs of our customers in a timely and cost-effective manner. We provide phlebotomy and laboratory services to tens-of-thousands of patients every day. All laboratories are either JCAHO, COLA, CLIA, or CAP accredited. Our highly trained laboratory Technologists and Clinical Laboratory Scientists use some of the most sophisticated instrumentation available and complete thousands of tests daily.

Timely Collection
Our Phlebotomy collection process is standardized across the company and reinforced by extensive internal phlebotomy training and certified policies and procedures.
A laboratory order is received via customer EMR integration, phone call to TridentCare’s ordering call center, or our proprietary online ordering system, Trident Connect (coming soon for laboratory orders)
A TridentCare phlebotomist is dispatched to the patient’s location and collects specimen as indicated in the order
TridentCare’s Evening Draw Model specimen collection process provides the patient a safer and more satisfying experience and delivers test results during daytime hours for more timely treatment options.
All TridentCare Phlebotomists receive extensive training, mentoring, and have a national certification or a state license
Phlebotomists must also pass a background check, drug screen, physical, and have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record
TridentCare laboratory services are available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week to enable optimal care. With STAT turnarounds in under five hours to increase efficiency, our variable patient-centered service models provide minimal interruption while protecting patient safety and comfort.

Accurate Testing
TridentCare maintains professional high-quality laboratories nationwide.
Upon specimen check-in, TridentCare laboratory staff apply bar codes that will track the progress of a sample’s processing and testing throughout the lab
Lab personnel perform all sample analysis with state-of-the-art technology and the latest procedures
All critical results are re-tested to validate accuracy, and a delta check is run on all results comparing them to previous results. A significant deviation triggers a re-test to validate accuracy
Laboratory technologist provides a “human review” to ensure the test results fall within reasonable medical expectations
Results are immediately placed into our online laboratory system for customer retrieval
Our laboratory technicians are highly-trained, certified, and experienced
– 54% of lab employees have been with TridentCare for five or more years
– 79% of lab technologists have been with the company for five or more years
With consistent processes and equipment across TridentCare laboratory locations, and over 90% of all testing completed by in-house laboratories, the risk of processing and human error is minimized. The result is that TridentCare produces highly-accurate and actionable results that providers and patients have come to rely on.
