Laboratory / Phlebotomy
TridentCare operates laboratories that are strategically located across the US to ensure we meet the needs of our customers in a timely and cost-effective manner. We provide phlebotomy and laboratory services to tens-of-thousands of patients every day. All laboratories are either COLA, or CAP accredited and are all certified by CLIA. Our highly trained laboratory Technicians and Clinical Laboratory Scientists use some of the most sophisticated instrumentation available and complete thousands of tests daily.
Timely Collection
Our Phlebotomy collection process is standardized across the company and reinforced by extensive internal phlebotomy training and certified policies and procedures.
A laboratory order is received via customer EMR integration, phone call to TridentCare’s ordering call center, or transmitted through our proprietary online ordering system, Trident Connect.
A TridentCare phlebotomist is dispatched to the patient’s location and collects specimen as indicated in the order
TridentCare’s bed-side specimen collection process provides the patient a safer and more satisfying experience.
All TridentCare Phlebotomists receive extensive training, mentoring, and have a CPT certification or a state license, as applicable.
Phlebotomists must also pass a background check, drug screen, physical, and have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record
TridentCare laboratory services are available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week to enable optimal care.
Laboratory Tour
Accurate Testing
TridentCare maintains professional high-quality laboratories nationwide.
Upon specimen check-in, TridentCare laboratory staff apply bar codes that will track the progress of a sample’s processing and testing throughout the lab
Lab personnel perform all sample analysis with state-of-the-art technology and the latest procedures
All critical results are re-tested to validate accuracy, and a delta check is run on all results comparing them to previous results. A significant deviation triggers a re-test to validate accuracy
Our laboratory technical staff are highly-trained, certified, and experienced to provide a “human review” to ensure the test results are accurate and have the highest quality possible.
Results are immediately placed into our online laboratory system for customer retrieval
On-Time Reporting
TridentCare ensures that its customers receive reporting of test results (when completed) as soon as possible to enable timely treatment interventions.
TridentCare delivers results to customers in numerous ways based on customer preference (secure email, HL7-compliant interface, direct and indirect EMR interfaces, fax, and web access)
Critical results are provided by phone to the facility/ordering practitioner and posted electronically/online within one hour of results
ICD-10 code checking available online
Average STAT collection and reporting completed in under six hours
All laboratory-related information (results, requests, interactions, etc.) is captured in TridentCare’s encrypted and HIPAA-compliant health information database
TridentCare provides a monthly Antibiogram, a summary of antimicrobial susceptibility for selected bacterial pathogens to support your antibiotic stewardship program.
Upon confirming identification of a CMS reportable pathogen, immediate same-day reporting to local entities for which the client/patient resides is completed.
